About Me

I learned to sew at a really young age. My Mom taught me to sew using these old papers with lines to follow. I remember graduating from that to actual sewing with thread and thinking I was on top of the world. I still had so much to learn! First it started with doll clothes, then it turned into repairing my clothes and eventually sewing then designing my own clothing. I had little patience and often cutting out the fabric sent me into tears.

I have branched from sewing and taken on the world of crafts and DIY full force. There really isn't anything I'm not willing to try when it comes to creativity. You may thing that's crazy - but you will never catch me bungee jumping and I think people who do that are crazy. I love to design, craft, create, sew, repair, scrapbook, you name it.

My most often used machines in my house are my computer, my sewing machine, my serger, my camera, and my Silhouette Cameo. I love them all and use them often!

There was one time I tried to knit. We'll just say I'm not bad at it, but I have no patience for it. I can't do anything else except count and focus on each stitch. And of course, even without distractions, I often lose count anyway. Three years to paint a scarf was just too much. No - not the entire three years, that's just how long it took me to focus and get it done. People who love to knit - please explain - how do you watch TV and knit?

Aside from crafting I love many other things. In no particular order, I love gardening, the outdoors, my family, reading, music, technology, Spanish, relaxing, girls nights, holidays, serving others and much, much more.

I am a wife, a mother to two wonderful boys, a friend, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so amazed daily by the wonders of God and the gifts he gives me. I share my creativity with you not to boast about my talents, but because this is my therapy. It's the gift I was given to keep me sane. I only hope to inspire others who were given the gift of creativity (no matter HOW they create) to use it.
