This is the most basic of patterns. It's just two squares of fabric sewn together with the back used as a binding.
I used Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom: Avocado Ginger Tile. It's probably one of my most favorite fabrics. Ever. I love the color. It's seriously what makes the blanket so beautiful. To get it just right though, you really have to focus on the pattern when you cut it out. Centering the tiles just right was so essential to making this blanket look good.
The backing I picked up at JoAnns in by their Minkee. It's so soft and has a simple diamond print that I thought went well with the Ginger Tile. I love this fabric for binding because I could really cheat and machine stitch it instead of whip-stitching it in place! The fluff hides the seam well.
